Hey friends. I have a bit of a prayer request.
My mom here (Martha) has been in the hospital in Cusco since yesterday morning and I just found out that she lost the baby. From what I understood she won't be able to get pregnant again either. I've only known her for about 2 weeks now and I have already seen her incredible desire for another child and a larger family. She's been trying for at least 3 years now. It's heart-breaking on many different levels. She does believe in God, I'm just hoping she is able to trust Him through this.
I'll be praying extra hard over my summer verse this week, not only for me, but for my family (both here and in the states) as well:
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." (Proverbs 3:5-6)
I ask that you take a second and do the same.

I'm sorry to hear about your Peruvian family's loss. Maybe you being there will help Martha feel like the she has the big family that she wants. I really like that bible verse. I think sometimes it is really hard to live by, like I'm sure it is for Martha right now, but I think its also one of the most important to live by.
absolutely i'll be praying love. that verse is painted on the wall in big letters in the craft house at spring hill, remember? I'm thinking of you and your fam (there and here). Love you.
Reading that post almost made me cry. That is so hard to hear and so sad. I will be praying for you and your family in Peru. I hope everything is going well with you. I love reading about everything that's going on and keeping updated on your thoughts about life in Peru. You have such an amazing heart, always seeking God in your surroundings. Know that you are loved beyond belief!
